MEATS


Benchmark Farms
1888 Chophouse Black Angus filet along with the striploin and tomahawk are sourced from the Benchmark Farms located in Milk River Ridge, Alberta. The Munton family has been on the quest to produce the best tasting beef for nearly 60 years and utilizing Angus beef genetics for proven tenderness and far superior taste that only Premium Angus Cattle can provide. Benchmark Farms also provide hormone-free beef.


Brant Lake Farms
Used for our famous Wagyu products, Brant Lake Cattle grow their Wagyu cross animals slowly with a sustainable diet while maintaining strong health protocol. Individual animal health data has been tracked and resulted in a superior beef that also has nutritional benefits. Characteristically, Wagyu beef is highly marbled. This marbling gives the beef its "melt in the mouth" moisture and tenderness.


Canadian Rangeland
Located in Lacombe Alberta, Rangeland’s bison are range fed and grain finished on oats, locally raised and offer a high quality of meat intending to embrace the rich North American heritage.


Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry
Certified Organic, Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry is nestled at the base of Vedder Mountain just east of Yarrow. Since the early 1970’s, the farm has become a local landmark. Many different poultry options are offered, including Grade A ducks which are used at 1888 Chophouse.


Ridge Valley Hutterite Poultry Farm
Since 1975, RVH farm has been providing high quality poultry, allowing the birds to roam freely within 50% more space than the industry standards for animal health and welfare. Located in Crooked Creek Alberta, RVH farm uses all natural, locally-grown feed containing no hormones or antibiotics.


Sungold Specialty Meats
Sungold Specialty Meats Ltd. operates a Federally Inspected, HACCP certified, Halal certified, full service meat processing plant located in Innisfail Alberta that specializes in processing lamb. The area’s cool, fresh climate and pristine water sources give livestock the best possible start on healthy growth. The region’s abundant pastures and feed grains provide an ideal nutritional component.


Wild Rose Heritage Boar Farm
Located in Byemoor Alberta, Wild Rose Heritage Farm is proud to be raising livestock without antibiotics or hormones. Livestock’s feed consists of pesticide free and herbicide free oats, barley, wheat, straw and hay; which is all grown locally within three miles of the Wild Rose Heritage Boar Farm, located in South Central Alberta Canada.


DAIRY & EGGS


Mans Eggs
In 2011, the Mans family decided to start a network of farmers to produce organic and free-range eggs from small hen flocks. Mans Eggs is located in Coaldale Alberta and has been raising hens without medication or feed additives. Free-range hens are fed organic and GMO-free feed.

 

Fairwinds Farm

Located in For McLeod Alberta, The Oudshoorn family has been operating a fully organic operation since 2003, growing and producing their feed for the goats and also supplying fertilizer from the goat’s manure used for crops.


Vital Green Farms
1888 Chophouse is very proud of the dairy products used in all areas of the operations. Vital Green Farms are family operated, local, organic dairy farms with on-farm processing, located just outside Picture Butte, Alberta. We use 52% cream to make our house made butter and crème fraîche. In addition, Vital Green Farms’ 2% milk and buttermilk are also used in recipes.


VEGETABLES


Mans Organics
This family owned farm located in Coaldale Alberta has been operating since 1994, and is certified organic by the Global Organic Alliance (GOA) since 2012. The same year, the addition of a greenhouse allowed the Mans Family to expend their vegetable product line.


Poplar Bluff Organics
Located in Strathmore, Alberta, Poplar Bluff Organics is the Chophouse’s organic potato and other root vegetables (carrots, gold beets & parsnip) supplier. They have been producing organic root vegetables for over 25 years.


Sudo Farm
Nobby Sudo and his wife have been growing unique varieties of squashes and other field crops in the Coaldale area in Alberta for more than 20 years.


SEAFOOD


Ocean Wise
1888 Chophouse is proudly using Ocean Wise certified seafood only. Choosing to eat Ocean Wise recommended sustainable seafood helps to relieve the pressure on overfished species and ensures that we will be able to continue to enjoy seafood for generations to come. Changes and recommendations are constantly received and menus are adapted accordingly in order to comply with the Ocean Wise classification system.

Greidanus Honey Mill
At the Greidanus Honey Mill located in High River Alberta, unprocessed honey has been produced since 1973 to be as pure as nature intended. Without blending or pasteurizing the honey, Greidanus Mill has maintained all the naturally occurring nutrients to ensure you are receiving nature's healthiest sweetener. All honey is collected in hives located in the clover-rich prairies of Southern Alberta, known to produce some of the world’s finest honey.


Mountain View Colonies
Mountain View Farming located in Strathmore Alberta produces naturally coloured, pure, gravity-filtered cold pressed canola oil made from Canadian non-GMO canola seeds. In addition of its quality, Mountain View Farming’s canola oil is higher in Omega-3 and Omega-6 then other plant oils, includes natural vitamin E and beta-carotene and is high in natural chlorophyll. It is also low in saturated fat compared to other oils used on the market. Greatly used in our salad dressings, 1888 Chophouse has developed its very own citrus caesar salad dressing using Mountain View Farming canola oil.


Robertson Estate
Located in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of British Columbia Robertson Estate is a small artisan company passionate about creating the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon vinegar on the market. Using only the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice, classic wine without any additives is created, which will then be placed in French Oak barrels. The slow conversion process allows all the flavor and bouquet of the Cabernet Sauvignon to be retained
